AI Visibility Audit for Law Firms

Find out if ChatGPT recommends your firm, and why it names others instead.

People with a legal problem now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews which solicitor or attorney to call. The answer names two or three firms. This audit tests whether yours is one of them, which firms are named instead, and what to fix so it changes.

“Are we even mentioned?” Here's how we answer that, credibly.

Asking ChatGPT once from your own laptop doesn't tell you much. Answers change with the wording, the town, and the engine. So we test the questions your prospective clients actually ask, the way they ask them, across four AI engines, and record every firm that gets named.

The audit is run by Ahmad Raza, founder of Foundier, who ran website and AI SEO audits for US businesses and delivered the AI SEO work behind them. You get a written report, not a dashboard login.

In a spot check of ten small UK law firms in October 2026, ChatGPT put other firms ahead of six of them, or left them out entirely. Most of those firms had good reviews. What they lacked was information AI engines could find and trust.

What the audit checks for your firm.

AI engines don't pick firms at random. They lean on your website, legal directories, review sites, and how consistently your firm is described across all of them. The audit checks each of those for your practice areas and your towns.

Every finding is specific to your firm, and every fix is ranked by impact. You'll know which changes are most likely to get your firm named, and in what order to make them.

AI visibility for law firms, answered.

What managing partners and practice managers ask before booking.

How do we find out if ChatGPT mentions our law firm?
Ask it the questions your clients ask, such as “best family solicitor in [town]” or “employment lawyer near me”, in several engines and with several wordings, then record which firms come up. One search from your own laptop is a weak signal because answers vary. The audit runs 25 of these questions across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Google AI Overviews and records every firm named. The free snapshot runs five of them if you want a quick first look.
Who can run an AI visibility audit for a law firm credibly?
Look for someone who tests real client questions across more than one engine, shows you the actual answers, explains which sources those answers draw on, and checks your website's technical foundations. Foundier's audits are run by Ahmad Raza, who ran website and AI SEO audits for US businesses and delivered the AI SEO work behind them.
Why does ChatGPT recommend other firms instead of ours?
Usually because the other firms are easier for AI engines to understand and verify: consistent details across legal directories, clear practice-area pages, more reviews on the sites AI reads, and structured data on their website. It's rarely about which firm is better at law. The audit pinpoints which of these gaps apply to your firm.
Do you work with UK solicitors and US attorneys?
Yes. The questions, directories, and review sites differ by market, so the audit is set up for yours: ReviewSolicitors, The Legal 500, Chambers and Partners, and the SRA register for UK firms; Avvo, Justia, FindLaw, Martindale-Hubbell, Super Lawyers, and state bar directories for US firms.
Will the recommendations comply with legal advertising rules?
The fixes are about making accurate, verifiable information about your firm easier for AI engines to find: practice areas, locations, credentials, and reviews from real clients. We never suggest invented reviews or claims about case outcomes. Your firm stays responsible for its own marketing compliance, and anything we suggest can be checked by your compliance lead before it goes live.
Do you need access to client files or case data?
No. The audit uses public information only: your website, directory listings, reviews, and AI engine answers. Read-only access to Google Search Console helps but isn't required.
How much does it cost, and how do we pay?
$750 flat. After you book, an invoice arrives by email within hours, payable through Payoneer. The fee is credited toward any engagement booked within 60 days, and fully refunded if we miss the 5-day deadline.
What happens after the audit?
You can take the plan to your own team or web developer, or have Foundier do the work. Website and schema fixes go through Technical SEO + Schema, and directory, content, and citation gaps go through AI SEO Services. The general version of this audit, for any business, is here.
